».name: 'General' Duality
».gender: Male
».age: Eleven
».breed: Irish Draught
».height: 17.1hh
».alliance: Autonomy
».appearance: Duality is not an outstandingly attractive stallion, although he would like to believe otherwise. Rather large in height for an Irish Draught stallion, he has the build of a true cob, and despite the fact that his conformation is excellent, he somehow maintains a plain appearance that would be enough to make him fade into the background, if it were not for the fact that he seems unable to remain quiet. His head is rather petite, slightly dished like an Arab's, but overall almost triangular in shape, with a roman nose, and large circular nostrils that flare with each breath. His ears too are large, perched precariously on top of his small skull, and unnaturally still for the majority of the time. His neck, by contrast, is short and chunky - like that of a pony - which, when combined with his deep chest, sloping shoulders, and short back, seems to ooze with strength. Duality's limbs complete this image, for they are of an average length, but very thick, and lightly feathered at the backs.
As for colouring, Duality is a simple bronze chestnut, almost yellow in some lights, but ginger in most. His muzzle and the lower sections of three out of four of his limbs are an ash grey, as though they have been dipped in paint, whereas his front right leg is almost entirely white, and his face is marked by a white star, and lower down, a white snip. His tail and mane are identical in colour to his pelt, and from a distance, he looks as though he could be bald because of it. Duality has a small collection of scars, but only one which is particularly noteworthy - a long, jagged wound running down his back left leg which, upon occasion, will force him to walk with a limp. Other than this, he is almost unmarked - quite unusual for a stallion of eleven years.
».history: Duality has a history so devoid of exciting events that it is almost a waste of letters to describe it, but the few things that did take place are the ones that shaped him. Kicked out of his unusually large herd at the age of two, he was one of four colts exiled in the hope that they would begin herds of their own. Duality bore this responsibility readily, and four months down the line, he had a herd of seven - himself, five mares, and a crazed old stallion he found tearing about the forest like a demon straight from hell. Within a year, three of the original five mares were pregnant, and all seemed to be going well for the colt. However, he then challenged a stranger who appeared one night claiming to own the territory, and the two collided in battle. The fight was a short one; Duality lost terribly, and only just escaped with his life, covered in blood and with a hind leg that dragged uselessly on the ground.
After a time, his leg healed to the point where Duality could travel properly once again, and so he traveled far away from his old territory and his mares, into a land he knew nothing about. The stallion wandered as a vagabond for a while, but became caught up in the Ecnamor War - a violent battle between the two alliances in the area - and soon took his place as a soldier in the native army. Duality progressed through the army's ranks at speed, and was eventually granted the title of General when, four years later, the old commander was murdered. He commanded the army for several years, and under his unforgiving rule, they won most battles. It was not until his tenth year in the world that Duality's army lost a key battle in the War, and again he fled, fled to a foreign land. This is where we meet Duality now: injured, exhausted, but full of spirit - and refusing to be called anything other than General.
